A lake for everyone

A beautiful event of solidarity took place on the 29th of March: nine small tours with the electric boat of the city of Verbania from Suna to Pallanza (Lake Maggiore) were organised within the initiative ‘A lake for everyone’ to let people with disabilities enjoy the lake.

“Families from Turin, Borgoticino, Alessandria and obviously from our area,” emphasises environment councillor Giorgio Comoli, “took advantage of our initiative for people with disabilities, for a total of about thirty people. A big thank you goes to Polisportiva Verbano and AVIS Marathon who made this day possible.

I would like to remind you that the electric boat, purchased with the Interreg Italy-Switzerland project ‘MOBSTER’ for sustainable tourism, will be used for educational and naturalistic purposes in the area of Fondotoce Natural Reserve between the canal and the Toce river. It will be a good opportunity to introduce young people, and not only them, to the beauties of the reserve with the help of park rangers and volunteers, allowing this kind of visit also to people with disabilities.”
