Wolfram Sparber, director of Eurac Research’s Institute for Renewable Energies, was interviewed by Maurizio Melis on Radio 24’s Smart City XL programme to talk about sustainable mobility and in particular the choice between electric or hydrogen in public transport. In the interview, the example of Eurac Research’s study was given based on the data of 21 buses that do not use fossil fuels in South Tyrol: 5 electric buses and 16 hydrogen buses. The data was collected between January 2021 and April 2022 and was subsequently analysed and compared with international analyses and benchmarks.
